In 1997 His peers and colleagues elected him to the board of directors of Iranian society of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons. He was re-elected five consecutive periods and still serves on this board to this date. Dr. Hafezi has been a member of the Iran Surgical Society since 1986.Dr. Hafezi became the associate professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery in April 2005 and the first and only Professor of Plastic Surgery at Tehran University in September 2010.
Twenty years of extensive work in the field of plastic surgery has allowed Dr. Hafezi to develop an expertise in Rhinoplasty, Facial rejuvenation, Endoscopic Brow lift, Breast modifications, Liposculpture and advanced body contouring techniques.
